Buffett recommends Index Funds (as did Graham)

Dear Investor,

Warren Buffett recently said investors should "stick with low-cost index funds".

In his annual letter to shareholders, the famous Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc said "When trillions of dollars are managed by Wall Streeters charging high fees, it will usually be the managers who reap outsized profits, not the clients."

Index Funds are also the very first of the investment strategies recommended by Buffett's mentor — Benjamin Graham — and for much the same reasons.

Server outage on wednesday July 8th 2015

Dear Serenity User,

Serenity's hosting server was down for most of Wednesday.

Sincere apologies for the inconvenience!
This is the first time in the four years of Serenity's existence that such an incident has occurred.

Serenity's hosting service guarantees an uptime of 99.9%, which is the industry standard. This translates to about one day of downtime every three years. As of date, the hosting service has exceeded its guaranteed uptime, and there thus does not seem to be any cause for concern.

You can also now use Serenity on your Smartphone or other touchscreen device. The screeners will show fewer columns on narrow displays. You will continue to see all columns on wider displays, even touchscreen ones.
